Journal club is an enjoyable event to come along to in the Clinical Skills area of F Floor, eat muffins and discuss a paper. The next meeting is Thursday 26 November 8.00 - 9.00 am where the paper being discussed is 'Oxygen saturation targets in infants with bronchiolitis

"Children of the New Century: Mental health findings from the Millennium Cohort Study" looks at the mental health of 11-year-old children living in the UK. The report finds that about one in ten (10.3 per cent) 11-year-olds in the UK has a mental health problem according to parents - or eight percent as reported by teachers, with symptoms including hyperactivity, conduct problems and peer problems as well as emotional problems. The MCS is a longitudinal study following a large sample of children born in the UK at the start of the 21st century
Things fading away...
In order to support a friend who is trying to lose weight I am accompanying her on the 5:2 diet (the Fast diet) for a few weeks. Whether or not you are dieting this is a tasty low calorie recipe that we tried out a couple of weeks ago - Turkish one-pan eggs & peppers....and for the non-fasting days
I'm looking forward to trying this 'Pork curry with green chillies and tamarind' at the weekend...particularly as it will be cooked by someone else! Not using quite so many chillies though...
